Long day, but very worthwhile. Starting off was a leap of faith as all was socked in. The Zealand Road in and out is long flat and ice covered.
Trail to Zeacliff was well packed out. No one had been past that point for a couple of days so there was all kinds of rabbit, cat and some sort of weasel tracks from Zeacliff to Guyot. On the way out Guyot was foreboding with 2 foot drifts, blowing fog and no views. After I got to West Bond everything opened up and it was a great day.
Passed Cynthia and Bryan on the way up to Bond and Hannah et al on the way over to Bondcliff. Trails along the Bondcliff Trail were all well packed powder. The way back to Zea cliff was uneventful. Took lend a hand over hale on the way back and it was well packed as well. Great Day. |
