| Comments: |
Trail well tracked and packed - thanks to HE, SF, WG and all the others who located and packed the trails this week. Still, thanks to drifting and ice-and-snow-laden boughs drooping into the trail corridor, there were a few obscure spots. There is a tracked "alternate route" just N of Willey's summit. It seemed (?) that the packed route took the old(direct=steep) route between Avalon and Field. Blazes on ridge invisible due to snow-plastered trees. With much more snow, trail, especially on ridge, may be rather challenging to locate. |
