Comments
Comments: Started at Lincoln Woods, finished at 302 winter parking for Zealand Road. Lots of erosion from last Monday's rain! Crazy the amount of destruction. Most muddy areas were frozen. Spikes were on and off many times. Used mostly 1/2 mile prior to Bondcliff, then off for Bondcliff exposed areas. On for the water xings then off again. On going up to Bond all the way to the steep section below Zealand hut. Snowshoes not needed - where there is snow, it's super hard packed and frozen solid. Zealand road had a very light coating of snow, there were tire tracks likely from officials checking on water damage. Ice made this hike challenging, otherwise it wasn't bad at all. 23 miles and just under 12 hours.
