Comments
Comments: We headed out in the morning when temps were still just above freezing. Lower section of trail had patches of ice and bare ground which gave way to more persistent ice and then a full 4-6 inches of snow at the higher elevations. Trail was packed out nicely though and there is no need for snowshoes yet. We used microspikes all the way up with no problems.

It was a nice day New Year's Day out there with temps well into the 40s by the time we got back down in the early afternoon.
