Comments
Comments: Ideal day to tag Isolation! lower Rocky Branch has some open wet spots but is mainly icy, so we used microspikes from the beginning til the end..mud spots avoidable..we took the bushwack about .25 before the shelter to avoid the first few crossings but other crossings were fine..ran into another hiker coming back from summit and he had done all crossings with no problems..with the temps dropping the trail should firm up even more..
