First 1.2 miles are a gradual incline. Most of your elevation happens the last 0.5 miles. All your views are at the top except for a partially tree blocked view of the lakes from about 1.2-1.4 miles in. Traffic on the trail light with a mix of those doing this in and out and those doing the loop with Morgan.
There was 2-4 inches of loose and slushy snow all the way up. Micro spikes made the going easier. Took the ledges to the top and there were 2 fairly challenging spots with ice on the ledges and about .3 miles from the top. Temps were in the mid to upper 30’s, so with the snow there was a lot of fog blocking the view most of the day. View of the lakes like Morgan summit |
