Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Nice solid ice crossing on the Eagles lake overflow just after the hut. You can get water there still as well.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: No obstacles. The birch trees look like they took a beating this fall. Many crowns were missing.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw a pair of dog tracks all the way to the hut. Didn't seem to be a problem for said canine. The owner looked like he/she slipped a few times :\

Comments
Comments: Great hike. Light snow was falling the entire time which added to the scenery. There was little to no visibility above treeline (cairn to cairn was it)and wind blown snow made the trail a little tricky to find. But it wasn't too windy(25-30mph)or cold.

BTW - The short, steep ice sections throughout the second half of the hike can be a fun challenge but I would recommend light traction. Especially going down.
