Another spectacular day in a winter wonderland! There's enough fresh snow to cover all the nonsense on the trail, and snowshoes were the weapons of choice today. I pu them on from start to finish, and luckily so did the other 8 people I saw out there today! Whoo-hoo! There's a terrific trench forming but it's still going to need some more snowshoe work over the next few days to pack down to a nice firm base, as the snow under my snowshoes on the hike out was still loose and unconsolidated. It was great to run into a few more familiar faces out there, as well as meet some new ones! |
