 | Comments: |
Crisp early November morning for this one with a balmy 12 degrees. Trail is lightly blazed with a few ribbons. Fairly easy to follow until crossing the first stream after 1st beaver dam. Used gaia for a bit with no issue found a better line on the return. At the edge of a much larger beaver dam I noted a fish and game wildlife observation camera. At this point skirted the edge to right avoiding deep ice covered water. Headed right into a clearing on the abandoned Upper Ammonoosuc Trail for a short distance with nice views of the Cabot scree field,Terrace Mountain and Mt Weeks. Despite this trail being in rough shape I found it to be a beautiful hike.
