Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We did many today. All were easily rockhopped, though the lowest one on Brookside had iced up rocks that I recommend using spikes on. Snow bridges are starting to set up on the crossing at Duck Fall on Watson Path.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A crawl under on the first climb up Inlook, a leaner that you have to slide around on Brookside below Salmacis Fall, and a large tree that fell parallel to the trail on Lower Bruin. The trunk isn’t in the way, but limbs need to be cut with a hand saw…it won’t be hard to fix it, but we didn’t have a saw with us. The summit sign on Madison is still missing for Osgood Trail.

Lost and Found: The kiosk had a pair of women’s sunglasses, a pair of leather work gloves (insulated, maybe), and a charging cable for a phone

Comments
Comments: A fun day was had checking off some lesser used trails. We wore microspikes and donned them at the junction for Brookside, Watson Path, and Lower Bruin. We wore them on the descent for a much longer time, just because it kept our speed up.
