Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Easy hops. Took the abandoned cutoff on the way back and the crossing of Carrigain Brook was even easier than at the official crossing.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is in great shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Tons of dogs on the trail today. All but one owner was respectful (didn’t even have a leash with him). Ours may have finally forgiven us for last weekend (Mt. Percival Boulder route). She got a treat at Bobby Sue’s tonight.
Bugs
Bugs: Saw a few in the distance…

Comments
Comments: Aside from the haze blanketing the top, it was a near-perfect day. Zero wind and perfect temps.

We took the old route on the way down that cuts off the swing around the beaver pond. The crossing of Carrigain Brook on the old route was easier than the one on the new route.
