Comments
Comments: I think that there was about 4 inches at the bottom. We started out in bare-boots but quickly switch to microspikes when we realized what the snow was hiding. With care most of the ice could be avoided.

After the A-Z junction there was less ice but you still had to watch out.The trail from Field to Willey had the best snow. Just before the summit there was some ice in the ledges. The Willey Range trail was mostly snow with a few patches here and there. The Mt Tom spur didn't seem icy on the way up but we had to pick our way down. On the A-Z we used the edge of the trail much of the time. It snow on and off most of the hike, The sun never made an appearance. Great hike with Larisa and Toby
