	Date of Hike:	Tuesday, September 5, 2023

	Parking/Access Road Notes:	Plenty of parking for our three vehicles.

	Surface Conditions:	Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

	Recommended Equipment:

	Water Crossing Notes:	None.

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	Trail is well maintained.

	Dog-Related Notes:	Saw a few nice friendly dogs where I gave each of them dog treats.

	Bugs:	Not really an issue.

	Lost and Found:


	Comments:	Nice hike today. Excellent views from the tower despite the haze. Lots of Appalachian Through Hikers and we enjoyed talking with many of them. We took the Lambert Ridge Trail up and down since I read that the Ranger Trail was a muddy mess.
