Comments
Comments: Tripoli Road gated ..a mix of black ice and granular..easy walking along the side of road..Caution..bridges freeze first and the bridges were very icy!! Able to bareboot the road.

had the spikes on and off on a mix of granular and soft ice conditions to the ledges where the flow ice was much harder and unavoidable.

Used crampons from there to East and back again which worked fine. The chute before the chimney had some ice bulges that demanded attention..much easier on ascent on the way back. The chimney bypass was fairly ice free and was not difficult.. Easy going to East. LIngered on summit of Osceola on the way back chatting with Dave L and Jim who had come up from the Kanc with no particular issues...crampons and micros.. Very nice day out with Valerie as we usher in the winter hiking season
