Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Anything arguably a "crossing" didn't have much flow, so just rock steps. Waterproof footware useful.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in fairly good shape. No blowdowns that I recall.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one as we went up Adams, well-behaved, a bit shy.
Bugs
Bugs: None, until the top of Madison, then non-biting, nuisance type on clothing. Not much breeze to blow them away.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nice pair of (Foster-Grant?) tinted wraparound glasses on the top boulder of Adams, where the pin is. Turned them in at the hut.

Comments
Comments: Nice OTHH outing with three others, with two bagging the two peaks for the first time. Went up Valley Way and bagged Madison first, then over to Adams. Weather was great, with clouds flowing around the high summits at times. We decided to go down via Airline, for the great views above treeline. However, the steep parts of Airline well down the mountain were wet and slippery, making for an exceedingly slow descent. Next time I start down Airline, I'll take the short Upper Bruin (0.15 mile, steep) connector over to Valley Way and go down the rest that way.
