Recommended Equipment: Traction
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The upper brook crossing frozen over
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One blowdown, trail is in good condition although very icy.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Lots of ice to negotiate today and brutal conditions above the treeline. The small amount of snow and granular nature of the snow that was there meant there was no balling at all on fur or in paws.
Bugs
Bugs:
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost one knife, found one yaxtrax--non pro model.

Comments
Comments: The trail is mostly covered in ice, especially from 3000' upward. Micro spikes worked to perfection on the ice.

Below 3000' I would recommend yaxtrax or barebooting. Fierce winds and low visibility at the time we reached the summit. Temperature 26*
