Note no blazes on trail & limited signage (& some confusing ones).
Start: 7:54am & End: 6pm
Ran into light snow in the morning, and got progressively deeper up the trail (trace to 6") covering ice, muddy pools, & running water beneath.
We were the first and the only ones on the unbroken trails until we passed 2 people coming from Glen Boulder so it helped to have extra sets of footprints to follow on our descent. Also, muddy parts became easier to walk on as the temperature dropped.
Wore microspikes coming down, & headlamps for last 2 hours. |
