 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Ample parking on the side of rte 302 opposite the trail. The trailhead sign is easy to miss, as is the start of the trail itself. On the approach, look for green mile marker 54.8 on the highway; the trail starts right there. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Nothing significant. The few minor ones were rock-hops, although care would be needed without waterproof footware. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail was in generally good shape, although there is considerable creep around the muddy areas. Maybe 30-40 minutes up from the trailhead, there were a pair of blowdowns across the trail, with erosion from the walk-arounds already evident. At the first it was just the top branches that obstructed the trail; I took them out with the foldup saw, with help from trailmates. We went around the second, but on the way back down I got the saw out again. I managed to limb that one enough to make it an easy step-over. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a few, enjoying the hike, well-behaved. |
|
 | Bugs: |
None, really, although I had applied DEET adequately. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Someone mentioned having seen a pair of hiking poles a short distance up the trail, hanging on a tree. I missed that. |

 | Comments: |
Nice outing with nine other OTHH folks. First mile and half is mostly moderate climb up through the woods, with a long stretch adjacent to the river, which was flowing well. The last mile is steeper. View from the top is very nice, mainly toward the west, earning the peak a spot on the 52WAV list. |
