Zealand Road is in great shape. 1 car in the parking lot at 5 am. The parking area was full by the time down. |

A few minor crossings easily crossed and one took a second to look for an approach without getting feet wet. |

One area above the switchbacks has been washed out by rain. |

a couple of dogs that were on a mission to get to the peak or next water source. |

Gnats in some areas of standing water. Other than that, not a bug bite to be found. |

Great early morning hike. Down and off the mountain before the rain started. The trail is in great shape considering all of the rain over the past month or so. Friendly people on the trail. Great hike for a quick 4,000-footer. |
