Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: About 60% of the stream crossings you can rock hop, the others you’ll either get your feet wet or need to take off your boots. On the way back I just walked through all the stream crossings, water running over the trail, and mud to gain back a little time.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lots of blowdowns to climb over
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Dogs might need help near the summits and between them, some pretty big bolders and a straight up/down climb before Bondcliff
Bugs
Bugs: Bugs were low.

Comments
Comments: Great views on all 3 peaks. You can see the 3 peaks from each summit, with the best view on the ridgeline from Bondcliff to Bond. Trails are incredibly muddy and wet, especially from Lincoln Woods to the top of Bondcliff and again from Bond to the intersection of the West Bond Spur and Guyot Campsite. Incredibly, the bugs were quite low and there was a slight breeze near the peaks that kept the temp in the 70’s
This out and back is incredibly long and the hike became a lot longer with all the extra time that needed to be spent navigating the mud, water over the trial, and stream crossings. Needed a headlamp to make it back
There’s a challenging chimney like climb straight up before you summit Bondscliff you see on may YouTube videos. The climb up isn’t bad (as you face the rocks) but going down can be a little daunting. There is a bushwack around that challenging climb at the base of those rocks to the left as you’re approaching Bondcliff (or to the right as you descent Bondcliff).
Ran into about 40 hikers over the day (Wednesday), with only 1 other doing the out and back in 1 day like I was. Most of the people I met stayed at the Guyot campsite to slice the day in half. Next time I’ll do the same. Also ran into many doing the Pemi Loop which included these 3 mountains.
Recommend staying at Guyot Campsite to make this hike more enjoyable versus a 1-day marathon.
