 | Comments: |
There was a 5 member trail crew on Six Husbands. They said they were the first crew in 10 or 15 years. They hoped to get to the Sphinx trail but were not sure they would have time.
A long loop through the Great Gulf. We found the ladders on Six Husbands not to be as challenging as we expected. There is one difficult spot after the fourth ladder. After the ladders there are a series of ledges to scale which we found to be more challenging than the ladders. Expect to get wet feet on the Sphinx trail. The trail runs down a stream for quite a while. We did loose the trail once and were confused in another spot. The Great Gulf trail coming down from the Sphinx trail took care on the ledges above the river. Except for Gulfside and the trail crew we only saw 3 people all day. |
