Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: I would not, although we saw two on the trail. Very steep ledges with large verticles. Small dog you can boost maybe, or very athletic. My 90 lb Golden would have struggled I think. Exposed, hot and little water above tree line.
Bugs
Bugs: Almost none today
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Seriously, a pair of underwear on the side of the trail?

Comments
Comments: Stunning views for at least half of the hike! At the beginning of the ledges there is a very slippery area due to water draining where a number of people were turning back. This only lasts for a short time (100 feet?) and then the trail is dry again. Be careful, but persevere! As stated first, amazing views once you're on the ledges. Hot! Even on a partially cloudy day make sure you have a hat and sunscreen. Half of the hike is exposed. No wet feet, no bugs to speak of, fantastic views. Nirvana on the mountain!
