Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: First 50 feet from the car has crazy mud/standing water. I was able to dance around it but Margaret(5) didn't have the stride length necessary and was fully submerged 30 seconds into the hike. On the way down she took a bad step here and went over her knee in thick mud. Seems like a bog bridge or two would make sense here, especially since it is 20 feet from the road and wouldn't require hauling supplies up a mountain or anything.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Good dog trail-way too hot/humid for my old dog today.
Bugs
Bugs: Some mosquitoes but nothing terrible

Comments
Comments: Tons of running water on trail today, including the middle ledge section. We took advantage of all the water by constantly wetting our heads/necks which helped mitigate the ridiculous heat/humidity. Felt like we were hiking in the amazon today! Views were almost non-existent from tower we couldn't even see the Moats next door. Haze for days!!!
