| Comments: |
Used microspikes the whole day. A few in the group put on crampons but they weren't necessary. It all depends on comfort level. Wind was blowing all day but visibility remained good. Lots of people coming up Layfayette from Greenleaf so there is a well worn path of packed snow. Ridge was icey with pockets of drifted snow. Areas of ice but easily managable with microspikes. Should be a good cold day on the ridge tomorrow. Enjoy! |
