My first trip up Greenleaf was great. The trail is a bit wet, but Eagle Pass was a great surprise with stunning views of Cannon. The trail gets slippery in a few spots but nothing that taking your time won't solve.
The Greenleaf Hut Croo had cookie bars for sale, so they were my favorite people of the day. There is a very wet and muddy spot just after the hut but rocks are placed so you can hop across them without getting wet. On top there were a lot of people in a very good mood since the clouds were constantly blowing in and out. Overall a very good day. Highly recommend Greenleaf all the way up, and plan a few extra minutes to scramble up the boulder at Eagle Pass. |
