Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The big water crossing on Tom Wiggin is high and fast. We tried crossing with shoes on, one successfully and one much less so, resulting in two very wet feet. The Dicey's Mill crossing has a nice big log across it which required some focus but kept both of us dry. The rest of the trail is very, very wet, especially up to Passaconaway where water is running down many spots of the trail. Everything is hike-able, but plan on getting wet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Despite wet conditions the trails are in very good shape, especially Dicey's Mill which is clearly maintained by a local group. Thanks to whoever that is! There is a blow down going up to Passaconaway on Dicey's Mill that requires a duck under, but it's not entirely blocking the path.

Bugs
Bugs: Very, very buggy. Bring spray.

Comments
Comments: A gorgeous day to be out on Whiteface and Passaconaway. Despite the incredibly wet trails, everything was in good condition and we were able to hike fast. By the time we got up to Blueberry Ledge there was a great undercast in all directions.
The rock scrambles were mostly dry, so no worries there, as was the Rollins trail over to Passaconaway. Going up Dicey's Mill to Passaconaway was very, very wet but the summit and outlook were dry.
We only saw three people all day and all played an ongoing game of leapfrog. Everyone was in good spirits and happy to be out on the trail.
This is a great hike as always. Be prepared to get your feet wet and you'll be fine.
