Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: If completing the loop counterclockwise the overflow stream at the beginning is fairly deep(knee deep for a 5’5’ person). It’s not running quickly, so no issues with a strong current. Rocks are extra slick. Around the pond there is a beaver dam section and other spots - most can be sorted out pretty easily.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: N/A
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Our two LOVED all the water and ALL the mud.
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes were horrendous along with the deer flies (forgot the bug spray…oops)

Comments
Comments: We really enjoyed this hike -wonderful views and a lovely jaunt in the woods around a gorgeous pond. The trail does have enough wet spots that we actually saw frogs leaping from it. Loads of toads on the drier sections. The trail can be rocky and rooty in some parts. Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice, peaceful spot on a warm afternoon (just watch the first crossing).
