 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
My original plan was to park at the Diana's Baths lot, but it was full. Parking on West Side Rd is prohibited. So I had to improvise. I was very happy to discover Fire Road 379 intersects with Red Ridge Trail. (Note: Gaia GPS shows FR 379, but it's not on some maps.) I parked with the rock climbers along Cathedral Ledge Rd and walked to FR 379 from there. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Moat Brook was flowing very fast at the Red Ridge Trail crossing. I went upstream 30 feet and found a better spot to cross. Obviously, the conditions are very dynamic and liable to change. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The fire road is a good alternative when the Diana's Baths parking lot is full, but it is very muddy in places. Red Ridge Trail is quite steep and gravelly above Moat Brook. |

 | Comments: |
The ridge walk on Red Ridge Trail was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect it to be quite so exposed at that elevation. It's not the most direct route to North Moat, but it's well worth the effort.
The 360 degree views on North Moat were outstanding. |
