|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||North Twin Mountain, South Twin Mountain, NH|
||North Twin Trail, herd path, North Twin Spur|
|Date of Hike:
||Thursday, July 6, 2023|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Fills up quickly get there early |
||Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||We took the herd path to avoid the first 2 crossings. The third crossing was quite manageable especially with water shoes. Other small water streams were easily managed by rock hopping |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||They were out in droves especially as you started approaching the summit. Bug repellent didn’t work suggest netting |
|Lost and Found:
||While this is labeled as a moderate hike in “climbing the nh 48’s” I would suggest in the heat and humidity it is difficult ????|
While most of the muddy areas were manageable, there is a section between north and south that you can expect lots of mid on your boots! Lovely hike and first 2 miles were spectacular before you got to the ascent. Coming back we enjoyed hanging out and washing up at the river crossing!
