The goal was Mount Clay. Hiked up along the Cog. I was thankful for some clouds since you are in the sun the whole time. Beautiful but muggy day. Met one hiker at the start of the hike who thought he was on the Ammonoosuc Trail. Thankfully it was just after the bridge. He turned back to find the trailhead. Enjoyed the summit of Clay by myself. Started to hike toward Jefferson but changed my mind when I started seeing a few dark clouds. Better to play it safe.
It’s kind of funny when the people on the Cog take pictures of hikers. ????
Met a couple hiking up along the Cog when I was about 3/4 of the way down. They thought they were on the Jewell Trail. It was early afternoon and the weather report had a chance of rain. They decided to turn around after showing them the map.
