None, all good. USFS put up a fence on the Lincoln Woods Trail where the bank is being badly eroded. |

Great day for a rainy trail run. Lincoln Woods was wet but not too muddy, most mud was not terribly deep so we just had fun romping right through puddles and mud.
Franconia Falls Trail was more of the same, beautiful old woods road turned trail. Wide to start, old Franconia Brook tent site is just barely noticeable in the woods off trail. Wooden boxes doing their job well and retaining soil to preserve the trail bed, several of those along the route to reach the falls.
There are several herd paths veering off trail to the right to reach the banks and ledges of the waterfalls. Water is flowing real good, white water cascading into lovely green pools and potholes. There are undercuts higher up the falls which would be a beautiful spot to bask in the chilly waters on a hot summer day - as it was raining and the brook was raging, we didn't get too close to the edge.
