Comments
Comments: Rained for the entire hike, with some fairly heavy rain above treeline, which made for some very wet trail conditions. Going up Air Line and down Valley Way was fairly straightforward- just had to watch my footing on some of the steeper and muddier spots. Descending the summit cone of Mt. Madison was more slow-going due to all the wet rocks that would've been a recipe for some serious hurt if I slipped and fell on one.

Despite all the rain and dense clouds/fog, somehow the summit of Mount Madison was not in the clouds when I reached it, so I was able to get some pretty decent views from the summit! Felt weird being that high up (5,367 ft) and not in the clouds, and knowing that many much lower mountains were completely engulfed in clouds.
