Continuing my streak of hiking in less than desirable weather conditions (dag nabbit), I hiked a traverse in order to see the remaining miles of trails that I needed in the Chocorua chapter of the White Mountain Guide. I didn’t want to hike up McCrillis Trail in the rain (but it doesn’t seem that it will ever stop raining), but it turned out to be not too bad. The ledges were slippery but I did just fine. I then hiked Kate Sleeper to East Sleeper, and back and then Downes Brook 1 mile to finish off that trail. Then Rollins to Dicey’s. I met up with PackFlag near the Rollins / Dicey’s junction and we hiked down together. Neither of us saw anyone but one another! |
