On some of the smaller brook crossings, the water had undermined the snow, leaving a sudden drop through. Just watch out for these until they fill in. |

On the ridge, there were too many bent over spruce from ice and snow to count, making progress a little difficult. |

| Comments: |
19 Mile Brook Trail was broken out to beyond Carter Dome Trail. Carter dome Tr. had some evidence of use with 4" to 6" of new snow, up to Zeta Pass, but above that there was one to two ft. of unbroken snow to Carter Dome & back over S. & Middle Carter to the N. Carter Tr. & down to the Imp Tr. Between that, the bent over spruce trees and some 3' to 4' drifts, it was tough going. The ridge is by no means packed out, even after our use. The Imp Tr. had been used this day. The walk over to Joe Dodge Camp was unbroken, but not deep. |
