 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The two, on the Avalon Trail, were, with care, just rock hops. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are generally in good shape. On going up the steep, rocky part of the Avalon trail, above the split where A-Z takes off for Tom, we briefly found ourselves off the trail, following something that had looked like the trail. A short 50-100 ft bushwhack to the left (south) brought us back to the trail. There were a number of blowdowns across the trails, a couple annoying enough barely duck-unders. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one fellow with a pair of small dogs on leashes, |
|
 | Bugs: |
Not bad, considering what has been reported up high of late. There were some annoying black flies of note on the steep way off the Willey summit. |

 | Comments: |
Amazingly, the forecasts of scattered rain showers and perhaps t-storms did not produce any precipitation through the hike. The view across the notch to the Mt Washington summit showed clear even there. Overall, a nice hike with the OTHH. |
