Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water was a bit up at the one crossing at base of dicey’s mill trail, but nothing dangerous. I opted to try the slippery looking log option rather than try to find a rock hooping option. It was fine.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in excellent condition. Maybe the nicest trails I have been on in WMNF. The last 0.5 mile up passaconaway there is one large blow down that takes a bit to duck under, and up a bit further is a small spruce down with green needles jutting into the trail. Thank you for the trail maintenance and well done.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Perfect dog trails except the blueberry ledge bit. I would not take a dog up that way. There is some water flowing here and there up along Rollins currently that would be fine for dog drinking. And the trail is well shaded.
Bugs
Bugs: Saw a few but even when stopped the were not an issue at all.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: N/A

Comments
Comments: Overall a very nice and well maintained set of trails. The stone steps are well done and the rest of the trails are great. I saw a trail runner leave the lot before me and thought, that’s nuts. But I get it now, the trails are really that good. The last 0.5 up passaconaway, was the std New England mess of steep, rocks, roots, and water flowing down. But much of the rest is more path than trail. I am scared of heights and avoid exposed drop offs. But did not find the blueberry ledge to be that bad. Rollins trail had some soupy sections, but I was in trail runners and did not have a hard time keeping my feet dry.
