| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
A few crossings, all easily rock hoppable |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few step over blowdowns, one duck under/step over. I managed to clear 4 blowdowns from the trails but there are still a few left that will require cutting. All trails were wet as expected but the Willey Range trail fro Field towards Tom was a stretch of light water running down the trail. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw two impressive terriers absolutely zipping down the rocks and trails! All the while being adorable and well behaved |
| Bugs: |
Bit of a cool damp windy day, no bugs to speak of |

| Comments: |
Trail is in okay condition, a few larger blowdowns left that are mostly not too awkward to step over. Some roots in the trail are a little high up from the erosion too. Trail was wet from the recent rain but as noted above the worst stretch was between Field and Tom. Some loose rocks after the summit of Field toward Willey that sent me for a little slide. More than a few muddy spots, mostly avoidable with wide steps or rocks. Couple of pretty soft muddy areas as well; it was generally a wet muddy hike. Also did the spur up to Avalon which is short steep and well worth the view! |
