Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We noticed the new sign at the parking area alerts hikers to the road crossing.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Ice - Breakable Crust, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings on Cedar Brook Tr rock or log hoppable, ice on rocks and log, traction and poles helpful. One very ice crossing in the first half mile of the Hancock Loop Trail.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Took down two blowdowns on Hancock Loop Trail as well as a poorly situated root on the climb to N Hancock. There are still two larger blowdowns in the first half mile of Hancock Loop Tr, will be under snow soon.

Comments
Comments: Started up later in the morning, saw Jeb and Karen on the trail as well as a group of three other guys. Everyone we saw went up S and down N. We did the opposite, thanks for the broken trail on the ridge!


Snow on ridge only about 6 inches and bare-bootable, although I took this opportunity to try out my new Tubbs Flex TRK women's snowshoes.
