Excellent- only one other car in the lot atop Pack Monadnock (parking loop at the Fire Tower/summit) at 1p and empty upon return at 430p (rainy, fogged in day) |

On the summit cairn of North Pack Monadnock, there was a baseball-style black hat "General Thoracic Surgical Club" laying on the cairn covered with a rock so it won't blow away *we left it there. |

We needed this section of the Wapack Trail for our patch. And, what a peaceful, rainy, fogged-in day it was. Just loved it! Perfect temp at 50F with winds from 0-10mph intermittently. Saw no newts on our way north, but several were out and about on our southbound return :-) |
