Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Thursday, June 1, 2023
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Gate is now open and there were 3 spots open in the parking lot when I arrived just before 8 and when I came down a few cars were parked along the road
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Small Patches
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easy rock hops
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There is one spot about 2/3 or more up that has a bit of running water across with 'corduroy' to step on. Very shallow so not an issue. Nicely maintained trail, no blowdown, no brush encroachment, lots of water bars and rocks to step on through what little mud there was
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Met 2 medium sized dogs with different owners, saw one at the top so presume no issues for them, the other was on the way up, both unleased but responded to voice commands by owners
Bugs
Bugs: I saw someone put a head net on as they descended. I used a non-deet spray a couple of times and seemed enough for me.

Comments
Comments: Very nice trail and lots of open summit
The only ice was on the last .1 or .2 from the junction to the summit but can step on rocks instead
