Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Hannah and Kali had a great day - a few tougher scrambles on Carter-Moriah including the one just below the summit, but they managed just fine and made the humans look slow, as usual

Comments
Comments: Great day for Moriah - few inches of crusty snow at the bottom, increasing to 8-10" in spots on the ridge, but like other peaks, not nearly enough for snowshoes yet. We didn't put microspikes on until the final scramble just below the summit, and left them on until partway down Stony Brook Trail - definitely very glad to have them in places on the ridge on the way down. Only a light breeze at the summit, so we actually lingered and had a short lunch - such a nice surprise! Nice to meet Bruce and hike with him on the way down - saw no one else all day. Fabulous day out with Cynthia, Dave and Heather, and of course Hannah and Kali.
