Fantastic but long day! All trails in great shape, couple of minor blowdowns on Watson. Snowfield heading to Jefferson was maybe 30 yards across, little greasy. Snow heading down to top of Tucks was little hairy but we managed. Bear boots all day. Winds were non stop all day, we really got blasted from start to finish. Washington had 45mph sustained when we were there. Huts are both open but no guests yet. Water & bathrooms available. Folks putting away tables full of supplies! #288 on Jefferson! Stunning day to be above treeline, hazy views, warm temps. |
