|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Carriage Rd and Hurricane Trail have some blowdowns-nothing that can’t be stepped over, walked around or under. The Glencliff side of Hurricane had a bunch of large tress cut and removed, but could use a bit of a haircut with new growth creeping into the trail (not a big deal) |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Our two had a super fun day and met a bunch of other pups enjoying the beautiful weekend. Plenty of water sources along the way, although we are back to packing their bowl and an extra water bottle just in case |
|
 | Bugs: |
Predictably - no issues in the cool morning and with the nice windy summit, as the day warmed up we hit some good patches of black flies as we headed up Hurricane Mtn |

 | Comments: |
A spectacular day - really just a few patches of disintegrating Monorail at the junctions of South Peak, Carriage Trail and Glencliff heading up to the summit. Super easy to navigate and no spikes needed. Things are drying up quickly. Saw a number of happy folks hiking -but not an overwhelming amount and pretty much no one on Glencliff of Hurricane. Doesn’t get much better than a day like today! |
