Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All rock hops. Bottom one is the easiest of a rock hop in awhile. Might get a toe wet on the second one with a couple semi submerged rocks.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Ran into the trail maintainer at the A-Z/Tom Spur jct. Good 1/2 dozen blowdowns got neutralized on the spur, no walk arounds now. Big double over/under blowdown about halfway up the climb up Field from Avalon on the Avalon trail. Its limbed enough for summer but its gonna be an awkward one come winter time

Comments
Comments: Pretty dry down low other than the typical muddy spots between the 2 stream crossings. Decently muddy on climb up Avalon and over towards Field. Minor patchy remnant monorail begins at 3800' on Avalon and becomes nuisance level patches above 4000' up to the jct w/Willey Ridge Trail. Patchy monorail most of the way over the ridge towards Willey then a mixed bag of stable/unstable/remnant/patchy for the last 0.5 miles to the summit. Some patches towards Tom until dropping below 4000', than nonexistent for the rest of the loop. Tom is somewhat muddy, and all its views including the south one back to Field, the west one towards the Bonds, and the east one to the Presis are all growing up sadly. Spikes got a free ride today as its late spring and I'm a lazy gridiot who is wicked sick of the monorail and even the patchy ridge is 75% dry/wet/mud and 25% stable/unstable/remnant monorail
