 | Comments: |
Did the loop clockwise today. The trail going up north peak was a river at times, nearly ice free. Along the ridge is mostly elevated monorail, 30" high in places, narrow and often lined with postholes. It was pretty slow going, an occasional misstep could result in going knee deep in muck. Descending south it is a mix of ice and degrading rail that doesn't end until shortly before hitting the loop junction. Shoulder season is still lingering around.
