Comments
Comments: Peered into kings ravine week prior & seeing no snow, decided to venture up the west facing Chemin Des Dames to airline route. Only a few ice patches that were avoidable with care! Spoke to two gents who did subway & kings ravine trail. Neither they nor I wore spikes, but IMO still worth keeping in pack, especially near treeline & on east facing slopes. Great gully was still mostly full of snow. Short line & airline have no real issues & the rock in kings ravine trail to junction on my route was dry. Weather graciously held off to allow for Adams summit.
