As reported by Hiker__Dad several days ago spikes not needed for these peaks-thanks for the report from another hiker dad! very small patches of icy monorail remnants between the peaks-easy to walk around. Zero bugs and lots of sun with cool temps. it was a wildflower bonanza in the hardwoods up to 3k. Crazy amount of Red Trillium and we spotted our very first Dutchman’s Breeches! What a funny little flower-it was a great highlight-thanks to the lovely lady who showed them to us after discussing wildflowers lower on trail. lots of friendly folks on trail today. Good to get the kiddos back on a 4K. |
