Saw one on Gale River. I think the area between South and North would be tough for a dog right now. |

| Comments: |
We barebooted all the way to North (!) with the exception of a short segment on the climb up to South. There is plenty of snow between the peaks, but spikes weren’t necessary (you could use them if you wanted). We donned rock spikes at North Twin and wore them back to South, just for expediency. Removed them around the summit of South and then donned them again for the descent off of South. Kept them on for about a half mile and then used careful foot placement and rocks. All snow disappears right around the junction of Gale River and Garfield Ridge. |
