All three trails are in terrible condition with lots of erosion and blowdowns. I haven't seen it this bad since the last major hurricane - was that Sandy? |

| Comments: |
Went up the north peak - trail crampons went on at the bottom and off again, on again several to the summit. Surface was ice, collapsing monorail, or just wet ground. The trail between the peaks was 3' deep balance beam/collapsing monorail. Terrible. Descending south wasn't so bad with trail crampons, but postholing was a constant source of frustration all day. |
