Avoid this as a route to Lafayette unless you enjoy postholes and a mile+ of rotten snow. Microspikes would help in a few places, but most folks I met had bare-booted(and wished they'd worn gaiters). One hiker was descending, apparently having missed the left turn onto Greenleaf, reluctantly returning to the trailhead via the bike path |
